Lurlene Lois Kedik, age 82 of Lebanon, Missouri formerly of Mishawaka, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2019. Lurlene was born September 25, 1936 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to the late Ralph I. and Violet L. (Lee) Rogers. On July 2, 1966, she married George Kedik. She and George lived on North Elder Street in Mishawaka and celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing in March of 2017. Shortly after George’s death, Lurlene moved to Lebanon to be closer to her family.
Lurlene is survived by her daughters Nancy (Dana) Hupp of Granger, and Dottie (Joe Breisch) Kiel of Franklin, Indiana. Surviving as well are six grandchildren; Jamie (Desmond) Nugent, Jennifer (Chris) Stutzman, Nicole (Jim) Troyer, Chad (Ashley Ford) Colpitts, Brittany (Aaron) Rowe, and Brandon (Carrissa Cross) Kiel. Surviving as well are nine great grandchildren and her four siblings; Chris Digman, Dennis Rogers and his significant other Frederick, Rachel Wessel and her significant other Joe, and Cheryl Lee and her husband Bob.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4-6 pm Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. Lurlene and George will both be laid to rest at a later time.
Lurlene was employed for many years as a Deli Clerk at Martin’s Supermarkets on Bittersweet Road in Mishawaka. In her spare time, she and George enjoyed camping and bowling, raising and canning fresh vegetables from their garden. Most of all, Lurlene loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren as they grew to adulthood.
