Marion H. (Bowers) Wisser

December 5, 1923 — January 4, 2023

Osceola

A lovely lady, who was small in stature but lofty in disposition, was beckoned to come home on January 4, 2023. She was welcomed home by her husband William N Wisser (2001), and sons William E Wisser (2017), and Robert Wisser (2011).

She was born on December 5, 1923 as Marion Bowers in South Bend, IN. On January 31, 1942 she married William N Wisser of Iowa and they remained married and residing in Osceola, IN. until his death in 2001. Additionally she lived in Mishawaka and then moved in with her granddaughter Andrea, who cared for her until she needed more intensive care in 2022.

Of all of her occupations, she most notably worked many years at Nyloncraft in Mishawaka. After work on Friday she enjoyed having a beer with her husband, son Bob, and other family and friends at a few local Mishawaka taverns.

A wonderful cook, she loved making delicious meals and Thanksgiving dinners. Her deviled eggs were always the hit of the appetizer table! Wonderfully well dressed, she loved cream colored clothing, glittering gold slip on shoes, and gleaming gold jewelry. She loved babies and cherished cuddling and interacting with her great, great grandchildren Aiden and Leiland. She especially loved watching them swim in summertime. In her later years she enjoyed crossword puzzles and television shows. With help, she even got the hang of the new fangled remotes and flat screen tvs!

On December 5, 2022, the family and friends got together for her 99th birthday. She was very surprised and happily chatted with everyone, opened presents and ate birthday cake. A wonderful time and memory was experienced by all who attended.

Left to cherish her in memory, are her grandchildren, Andrea (Wisser) Teeter, Rodney Wisser and Steven Wisser, along with many great grandkids and great, great grandkids. She will be very much missed by people who knew and loved her.
