Mary E. Simper

"And Along Comes Mary," to be reunited with her husband, family and friends that passed before her. Let the celebration begin! Mary E. Simper, age 89 passed away July 20, 2016 at her home in Osceola. Born July 4, 1927 in Elkhart County to the late Howard B. and Ruth Hannah (Leonard) Ernsberger, Mary came from a family of ten with two sets of twins. Her only surviving sibling is Ruth Stoner. On May 21, 1946, she married Robert Simper at the Methodist parsonage in Angola, Indiana. Robert preceded her in death, passing away April 10, 1993. Surviving are four children; Kathy (George) Bogart, Beth Simper, Scott (Cindy) Simper and Dave (Christine) Simper, along with nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren two step-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, July 25, 2016 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home with interment to follow in Osceola Cemetery. Mary loved all her family, friends (especially her Jimtown Constituency) and the Osceola United Methodist Church where she was an active member for over sixty years. She always made herself available to others, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Loveway Inc., Middlebury, Indiana or the Osceola United Methodist Church.
