OSCEOLA- Maxine L. Duff, 89, of Osceola, passed away at on Saturday Jan. 3, 2015 at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born April 18, 1925 in Warsaw, Indiana to the late Russell & Bertha Shoemaker. Surviving are three children, Jacquelyn (Greg) Wing of Osceola, David (Joan) Duff of Plymouth, IN, Danny (Ann) Duff of Tippecanoe, IN; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and four sisters, Carol Jankowski of Crown Point, IN, Kay DeCent, Delta Hall both of Bourbon, IN and Linda (Ron) decent of Crosby, MN. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Maxine was formerly employed at Kenders in Elkhart, retiring in 1988. She most recently was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday January 9, 2015 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. Friends may visit with the family for two hours prior to the services. Pastor Tracy Forbes with the Cedar Road Missionary Church will preside. Burial will take place at a later date in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart Hospice House.
