Michael James Schultz, 58, of Granger, Indiana, received his heavenly healing with his family by his side, Monday, July 29, 2024, after valiantly battling Pancreatic cancer for two and a half years. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada on December 27, 1965, to Allene (Goentzel) and Delmer Schultz. He married the love of his life, Lucy Katherine Fatter of Erie, Pennsylvania, on February 6, 1993, in Buffalo, New York.
Michael is survived by his wife Lucy and his two children Victor James Schultz and Violet Katherine Schultz, parents, Allene and Delmer Schultz, also of Granger, Indiana, parents-in-love, Katherine and James Fatter of Erie, Pennsylvania, sister Debra “Debbie” Schultz of Chesapeake, Virginia, aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews. Michael was met in heaven by his brother Jeffrey Schultz and other family members.

A truly social and playful spirit, Michael was known as a legendary prankster during his time at Oral Roberts University, along with his friend who will remain nameless. Those who knew him well, knew his love of games and his meticulous way of keeping things in order. He was renowned for making the best hamburgers anywhere. Above all, Michael’s strong faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he took immense pride in his children and family, whom he loved dearly. His legacy is his family, love, laughter, and unwavering faith.

After an inspiring Gospel Message, an ice cream social has been planned for his family to meet his friends and to gather for joyful fellowship, sharing your favorite memory and how he impacted your life, fun activities, an inspiring Gospel message.
In lieu of flowers, life memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund designated for Victor and Violet at Father’s Hand Foundation, the Center for Hospice Care, Life Action Ministries, or Gospel City Church Missions.
