Nicholas G. Stith, age 36, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2025, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on September 1, 1988, in South Bend, Indiana, Nick was known for his adventurous spirit, warm heart, and unending kindness.

He is survived by his mother, Michele Montague, and his siblings, Cory D. Stith (Areca Shaw), and Drew Michael Montague. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles; Pamela Grafton, Willie Lee (Verna) Floyd Jr., Jamie (Barb) Stith, Wesley (Michele) Stith, Katie Reynolds and Nancy (Roger) Stith, as well as his cousins: Rachel McLean (Jack), Josh Stith (Alaina), Jessica Lichtenbarger (Russell), Yvette Hoober (Danny), Yvonne Humes, Denys Boyer (Kevin), and Stephanie Garber (Jim). In addition, Nick leaves behind his two beloved “fur children,” Bonnie the St. Bernard and Chloe the Doberman, who brought him great joy. He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Gene Stith, his aunt Deborah Ryll (David), and his cousin, Dustin Floyd.

After high school, Nick worked in various factories before joining Elite Installations, a role that allowed him to travel across the country—a perfect fit for his adventurous nature. He loved his job and the people he worked with. His ultimate dream was to learn to fly, fueling his passion for travel even further.

As a child, Nick aspired to play professional football and remained a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins. He found great joy in cooking, especially grilling and smoking meats, and cherished time spent with his friends. His kind, gentle, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone he met. Nick’s faith was an essential part of his life. He dedicated himself to the Lord at a young age and was baptized at New Life Church.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM with Pastor David Stauffer presiding.
