Ora Jay Hochstetler

Ora “Jay” Hochstetler, 70, of Elkhart passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on August 6, 1953, in Goshen to the late Neal and Fannie Hochstetler.

He is survived by his 4 children, Randy (Tanya) Hochstetler of Osceola, Nathan (Tammy) Hochstetler of Woodstock, GA, John (Sonny) Hochstetler of Goshen, and Diana (Matt) Lindzy of Mishawaka; their mother, Ellen Lehman, and many brothers and sisters.

Jay retired from K-Z RV after 25 years of dedicated service as a plant manager and assisted in transporting RV’s all over the country. Outside of his professional life, Jay found joy in riding his Harley-Davidson, crafting exquisite woodwork, and cherishing moments with family around the campfire. Jay will be remembered for his dedication, adventurous spirit, and the love he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family has chosen cremation, and a time to celebrate his life is scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 1-4pm at Cruz Family Funeral Home, Osceola. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to ABATE of Elkhart County.
