Rebekka Maelynn Sallee, age 12 of Niles, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Rebekka was born February 13, 2004 in South Bend, Indiana to Steve Sallee and Melissa (Deuel) Sallee. She was a student at Blossomland Learning Center in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Surviving are her parents, Steve Sallee and Melissa Sallee and her brother, Darren Sallee, all of Niles. Surviving as well are her grandmothers Karen Toliver of Dowagiac, and Louise Adams of Niles. Rebekka is also survived by her nieces Lilly and Lindyn & nephew Elliott, as well as her uncles and aunts Jeff (Jamie) Deuel of Ocala, Florida, Sheila (Andy) Riffel, Brad Sallee, and Ron Smith and Jerry Stephens, all of Niles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Taylor “Babe” and Sally Sallee, and her uncle Jamie Deuel.
Visitation for Rebekka will be held from 1-2 pm Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church 51980 Portage Road, South Bend, Indiana 46628 with a celebration of her life to begin at 2:00 pm. Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Rebekka loved Walt Disney World, and had recently visited Mickey in Orlando with her family through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her favorite Disney movie was CARS, and her all-time favorite character was Lightning McQueen. She also loved watching cartoons such as Paw Patrol, Batman, and The 101 Dalmatians. Rebekka was a fan of racing, and loved spending time playing on her Ipad.
The Sallee family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all of the many relatives, friends, and caregivers who surrounded Rebekka with their love and care throughout her journey here on Earth.
