Richard was employed for many years by the US Post Office, first as a Postman, and later as a custodian before retiring at the age of 58 ½ years old. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting mushrooms, and working around the house that he built for his family with his own two hands.
Most of all, Richard loved the Lord and led others to Him whenever he could. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years and shared a message of hope once a month at Stratford Commons in Elkhart. He also shared his talents by performing in a Gospel Drama group named “Gospel Speaks” for many years. Richard was also blessed with musical talent and played guitar and banjo with several others at Churches throughout the area.
Richard’s grandson David Kwast and his wife Bethanna have followed in his footsteps to further God’s Kingdom and serve as missionaries with Ethos360.
