Robert Wayne Arnold, age 55 of Osceola, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Bob was born March 28, 1960 in South Bend. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Army, serving honorably overseas in Germany from 1979-1987. On February 3, 1999, he married Vicky J. (Newman) Walters in Mishawaka.

Vicky survives, along with their children Benjamin (Abigail) Walters of Anchorage, AK, Jessica (Jeff) Brooks of Granger, and Monica Walters of Osceola. Also surviving is his mother, Sharon Arnold and his sister Jerrice Arnold, both of Osceola, five grandchildren; ZyShawn Ward, Rafael Walters, Benjamin Jack Walters, Jasmine Ward and Lucas Walters, his nephew Harold C. Arnold II and great nephew Holden L. Arnold, both of South Bend. Bob was preceded in death by his father Harold C. Arnold and his nephew Curtis Wayne Arnold.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola with a Masonic Service and Military Honors to be conducted at 5 pm.

Bob was employed as a Union Carpenter in the construction industry for several years before becoming a cabinet shop supervisor at Thor Motor Coach. In his younger years, he was a talented artist, loved running and playing softball. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping with his family, fishing and putting his handyman skills to good use. He also enjoyed collecting guns and was an expert marksman. Bob was a longtime member of the VFW and American Legion Posts, and was an amateur HAM Radio operator. Bob was also a longtime member of the American Legion, VFW, Masonic Lodge #130 of Mishawaka, The South Bend Valley of the Scottish Rite, and the York Rite.
