Rose Marie Games, age 92 of Granger, passed away May 25, 2022 at Miller’s Marry Manor in Wakarusa, Indiana. Rose was born March 5, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Charles and Adele Schulte. On May 20, 1950, she married Robert Lee Games in St. Louis, Missouri while Bob was serving his country in the United States Air Force. They celebrated 71 years of marriage before his passing in August of 2021.
Surviving are their daughters Janice (George) Beutter of South Bend and Linda (Michael) Moorman of Mishawaka. Surviving as well are 9 grandchildren: Sara (Casey) Manus, Robert Beutter, Erin (Erik) Bruner, Laura (Kevin) Wilken, Richard Moorman, Kristina (Buzz) Phelps, Joshua Moorman, Schaune (Drew) Johnson, and Kristopher Moorman. Surviving as well are 14 great grandchildren and her brother, Charles (Janet) Schulte of Brandon, Florida, and her Yorkie “Sophie.” Her twin sister, LaVerne Garrison, preceded her in death.
Rose served her family as a homemaker and she and Bob enjoyed traveling the US in their motorhome. They had also visited Israel, Hawaii and traveled through Europe on several adventures.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 12:00pm funeral service on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. Chaplain Coyle of the St. Joseph County Police Department will officiate and Rose will be laid to rest beside Bob at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
Rose was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a longtime member of Christian Center Church in South Bend where she served as a deacon for many years. The Games also shared their faith through ministry at the St. Joseph County Jail and many lives were changed because of their commitment to the Lord.
