Rosemary (Beasley) Taylor

Rosemary Taylor, age 71 of South Bend, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, December 25, 2021.  Rosemary was born August 14, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Lonnie A. and Inez L. (Jones) Beasley. On July 15, 1998, the love of her life, Joel B. Taylor passed away after 29 years of marriage.

She is survived by her sons Chad B. (Lisa) Taylor and Steven D. Taylor, both of Osceola. Surviving as well are her grandchildren Kayla (Doug Staien) Miller, Zachary Taylor, Amber Taylor, McKayla Taylor and Ariya Wilson, along with her great grandchildren Juliette and Noah Staien. Rosemary is also survived by her siblings Judy Morrow of South Bend, Denny (Becky) Beasley of Mishawaka, and Kevin Dillon of Bremen, Indiana as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  Her stepson, Joel T. Taylor, her infant sister Hazel Beasley, and her parents Lonnie Beasley and Inez Dillon preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 31, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Fetter officiating.  Following her service, Rosemary will be laid to rest beside her husband Joel at Olive Cemetery West in Elkhart.

In her younger years, Rosemary enjoyed working for Cardinal Nursing Home and later with her sister Judy at Accessories by Sherwood.  She also worked several years with her daughter-in-law Lisa for a local cleaning service in the Michiana area.  In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and games with her family, playing games on her tablet, crocheting blankets and playing BINGO.  Her daily routine also included watching Days of Our Lives on NBC for over 50 seasons.

Most of all, Rosemary loved being a homemaker, wife, and mom to her sons.  Her devotion to her family came first and her generous and caring nature was displayed as she always put the needs of others before her own.  Her sense of humor and laugh will be remembered by all who knew her.
