Scott Alan Dougall

Scott Alan Dougall, 66, of Elkhart entered final rest on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Mishawaka on September 9, 1958, to Charles and Agnes (Clark) Dougall, and later married Jill Dougall (Sumpter).

He is survived by his mother, Agnes, along with his sister Becky (Marvin) Stewart of Edwardsburg, Michigan and their children, Paul (Ari) Stewart, and Kathryn (Travis) Allen. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Dougall and brother Charles Dougall Jr.

Scott devoted over two decades of his life to Schuster’s Sheet Metal, where he worked as a dedicated laborer. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft were evident in all he did. Outside of work, Scott cherished spending time with his father, especially when they went fishing together, creating countless memories on the water. He also had a passion for working on cars and motorcycles, taking great pride in maintaining and restoring them. Scott was a devoted dog owner. Pooty the basset hound was one of the great joys of Scott’s life.

A man of deep faith, Scott was baptized at Osceola United Methodist Church, where he found spiritual guidance and strength. Those who knew him will remember him not only for his hard work and hobbies, but also for his kind and loving heart. He had a way of making those around him feel valued and cared for, always offering a helping hand or a warm smile. His presence brought comfort and joy to family and friends, and his legacy of kindness and generosity will be cherished forever.

According to the family's wishes, cremation has taken place with a celebration of life service to be announced at a later date. Scott’s ashes will be interred at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
