SHARON AMELIA ERNSBERGER July 15, 1942 - August 14, 2013 ELKHART- Sharon Amelia Ernsberger, 71, of Elkhart passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born July 15, 1942 in Elkhart to Menford & Myrtle (Ganger) Stouder. On September 15, 1962 in Elkhart she married Wilford L. Ernsberger II. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1980 in Elkhart. Surviving is a son, Brent (Michele) Ernsberger of Elkhart, one granddaughter, Victoria Ernsberger of Elkhart, one brother, Robert (Annette) Stouder of Elkhart and a sister, Janice (Terry) Steinke of Venice, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Brenda, 2 sisters, Bonnie Gordon and Sue Wright and 4 brothers, Arden, Don, Marlin and Jack Stouder. Sharon graduated in 1961 from Jimtown High School. She was a member of the ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and she enjoyed playing cards, drinking Pepsi and she loved Dachshunds. Sharon retired in 2003 from the Elkhart Community School System where she worked as a school bus driver for over 30 years. He greatest loves were her husband, Wilford, her son Brent, her granddaughter, Victoria and her nephew Bill Stouder. She was Aunt Sharon to her 31 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She told you how it was and never pulled any punches. In the end she was happy to be going home to the Lord and to be with Wilford for eternity. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends; Doris, Michelle and Jean for their help over the years. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday and for 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Monday all at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Purtle from the Riverview General Baptist Church will preside and burial will follow in Osceola Cemetery.
