Shelia D. Carpenter

Shelia D. Carpenter, 68, of South Bend, passed away at Memorial Hospital on November 27, 2024. She was born on February 23, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late John and Tiny (Balentine) Robertson.

Shelia is survived by her sons, Michael Kindley, Jason Robertson, and Jeffery Carpenter, all of South Bend, along with 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Glenn (Debra) Robertson and Tommy (Jane) Robertson, both of Florence, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Verdell, Little Boy Robertson, and an infant brother.

In accordance with Shelia’s wishes, no formal services will be held. The family invites you to remember and honor her in your own way. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service has been entrusted with her care.

Shelia was a dedicated homemaker who loved taking care of her sons and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love, kindness, and acceptance of everyone. She was Nana to everyone. Her family was always her top priority.

In her free time, Shelia enjoyed making arts and crafts and was an excellent cook.
