Tyler C. Jones

Tyler Charles Jones age 35, formerly of Osceola, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lansing, Michigan on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Tyler was born February 19, 1981 in South Bend, Indiana. He was employed for over eight years as a flooring specialist with Lowe’s Home Improvement Center in Lansing.

Surviving is his mother Lynne Jones of Osceola, his father Charles (Michelle) Jones of Mishawaka, step-brother Taylor Forsythe and his step-sister Rachel Forsythe, both of Alabama. Tyler is also survived by his dog “Dylia,” whom he rescued from a shelter two years ago. Surviving as well are several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. His grandparents Maynard and Viola Jones, and Robert and Donna Schumaker preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola. There will be no services and cremation will follow.

Tyler loved to travel, and recently visited Canada with his dog Dylia. He enjoyed playing pool, and was an avid fan of Notre Dame sports and NASCAR where he followed Kurt Busch.

He was known for his big heart and generous ways, always helping others when possible. When others were down, he used his sharp sense of humor to cheer them up. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Because of his love for animals, the family requests memorials be given to the animal rescue of the donor’s choice.
