Vickie Lyn Kohler, age 68 of Mishawaka, passed away with her children and her mother by her side on Friday, February 4, 2022. Vickie was born March 4, 1953 in Mishawaka, IN. She attended Penn High School and was employed as an administrative assistant for many years in the Michiana area with River City Heating, Stephen's Body Shop, and Advanced Radiotherapy Consulting.
Surviving is her husband Robert Kohler of Mishawaka and her children Brandy (Rouch) (Wes) Weimer and Dave Metzger Jr., both of Mishawaka. Surviving as well is her mother Carol (Weise) Emerson of Mishawaka and her siblings Terry (Suzanne) Emerson of Arizona and Kandie (Ed) Ryan of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her father Larry White, her stepfather David Emerson, and her sister Kathy (White) Johnson.
There will be no formal services for Vickie, but her family asks that you think of your favorite moment with her and smile. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola is assisting with the arrangements.
When she wasn't working Vickie enjoyed shopping, going to pet stores, spending time with her grandchildren and feeding her wild "critters" throughout the community. If she thought an animal might be hungry, she would find a way to feed it. Vickie will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always put the needs of her family before her own and would be the first to lend a hand to those who were in need.
Because of her love for animals, donations may be given to Pet Refuge, 4626 S Burnett Dr, South Bend, IN 46614 or to the Wounded Warrior Project online at http://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
