Viva Marie (Clark) Reichert, 82, of Osceola, passed away at 1:00 pm Friday, May 30, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa. She was born in Wyatt, August 3, 1948 to Milo & Agnes (Potts) Clark and attended Madison Township School. On January 31, 1948 Vi married Delbert C. Reichert in Scottsburg, IN and in 1954 they moved to Osceola. Delbert passed away on June 8, 2000. Vi is survived by one daughter, Sandra (William) Young of Elkhart, one son, Bruce Reichert of Syracuse, two grandsons, Greg and Steve Thomas and three great grandsons, Tristan, Thomas, and Avery. Also surviving are two sisters, Linda Elliott of Goshen and Sheryl (Harley) Hough of Osceola. Three brothers, Milo of Knoxville, TN, Clifford of Goshen and Jerry of Tippecanoe preceded her in death. Vi worked at Excel Corporation for twenty-six years before retiring and then worked at Family Dollar for another eight years. Her life centered around family and friends, was full and active as she pursed her interests in cooking and baking, entertaining, crocheting and maintaining her home. Delbert and Viva also enjoyed traveling extensively in the United States, Canada, Western Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, where their son was a teacher. She was a member of the Elkhart Moose and the Bremen VFW 8972. There will be no viewing; a graveside memorial will take place on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Bremen Cemetery at 10:30 am, followed by a luncheon in Bremen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Arthritis Foundation. Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
