Warren was employed as a truck driver with Smith Trucking, Lyon’s Motor Freight and the Yellow Freight for over 30 years before retiring at the age of 66. Although his career in transportation spanned many years, Warren was a farmer all of his life. Growing up on the family farm, Warren tended to the cows and loved driving the International Harvester tractors his family owned.

In his spare time, he was meticulous with his yardwork, taking pride in his lush lawn, spoiling his favorite dog “Dixie” and grilling and cooking out with his family on the river.   He also loved bluegrass music and attending bluegrass festivals and events throughout the Midwest.  He also enjoyed attending New Life Church in Osceola for many years.

In his memory, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or New Life Church.  To light a virtual candle in Warren’s memory, share a story of his life, or leave a message of comfort for his family, please follow the links provided on the tribute wall tab above.
