Wendy Rayne Stewart, age 55, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Mishawaka on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Wendy was born in South Bend, Indiana on February 22, 1969, to Richard C. and Sharon (Masterman) Stewart.
She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Payne of Mishawaka and Alyssa (fiancé, Kyren Jones-Watson) Fritz of Battle Creek, Michigan. She is also survived by her mother Sharon (Kenny Goodman) Stewart of Mishawaka and her grandchildren Paige and Chase Payne. Surviving as well are her siblings Dan Perkins, Judy Nifong and Janice Fleming, all of Mishawaka and Bob (Debbie) Stewart of Texas. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Stewart and her brother Randy Stewart.
There will be no formal funeral services for Wendy, but friends and family are encouraged to remember her in their own personal ways. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.
Wendy was employed by Online Data and later became a dedicated homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She was a loving grandmother who adored her grandchildren, and her two cats brought her immense joy.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she often shared it with others, providing comfort and inspiration. She had a big heart, always putting the needs of others before her own, demonstrating kindness and generosity in all she did.
