William "Bill" Joseph Patterson, age 75, of Mishawaka, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, May 22, 2015. Bill was born August 5, 1939 in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Dale and Ruby (Swartzel) Patterson. He was a graduate of Bourbon High School, class of 1957. On August 13, 1960, he married the former Ms. Patricia Banic in Bourbon, Indiana.
Surviving is his wife Pat of Mishawaka, and their children Jeff (Julie) Patterson of Mishawaka, Kim (Kerry) Batten of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Brenda Jachimiak of Osceola. Surviving as well are five grandchildren; Rachel (Clay) Carnill, Kathleen (Devon) Parker, Haylee Batten and Evan and Seth Jachimiak. Bill is also survived by his siblings, Eleanor Gammill of New Carlisle, Bob (Leslie) Patterson of Wabash, Rita (Charlie) Hyde of Etna Green, and Carol Bennett of Bremen. He was preceded in death by his siblings Marilyn, John, June, and Roger.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Monday, May 25, 2015 at Lakeside Baptist Church 515 Michigan Trail, Lakeville, Indiana, 46536. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Lakeside Baptist Church with Pastor Vito Rulli officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend. Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Bill was employed for 52 years as a production manager at Ball Band-Uniroyal in Mishawaka before his retirement in June of 2011. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Bill also was a deeply devoted follower of Christ, and attended Lakeside Baptist Church for many years. He was also a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren's sporting events.
